OPERATIONAL ASSISTANT

Quinta Filippa is a 16-room boutique hotel set on 35 hectares of Portuguese countryside. With personalized stays that include farm-to-table dining and daily activities focused on wellbeing, it offers a place where guests feel like home.
We are looking for an Operational Assistant & Duty Manager to join our team, someone who is a key member of our leadership team, working closely with the General Manager to ensure the hotel operates smoothly each day. This role is perfect for a warm and organized individual who feels at home in hospitality and enjoys creating unique experiences.
YOUR ROLE
Support the General Manager in the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the hotel
Perform as Duty Manager
Ensure smooth, efficient daily hotel operations across all departments
Lead, oversee, and continuously improve Food & Beverage operations and service standards
Maintain high operational quality in both Rooms and F&B, ensuring consistency and excellence
Be highly present on the floor, engaging with guests and actively supporting and inspiring the team
Embody and promote Quinta Filippa’s culture, values, and ethos at all times
Deliver outstanding guest experiences through attention to detail, care, and personalized service
Foster strong collaboration and communication across all hotel departments
Monitor and manage operational performance with a strong understanding of financial results, budgets, and cost control
Ensure luxury is expressed through authenticity, comfort, and thoughtful service rather than formality
Identify opportunities to enhance guest touchpoints through a bespoke and considered approach
Act as a role model for service excellence, leadership presence, and professional conduct
Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement aligned with Quinta Filippa’s unique luxury positioning
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum 2 years in leadership in luxury hospitality, boutique or independent preferred, and international background are key.
Fluency in English and Portuguese.
Proven operational expertise in F&B and Hotel Operations.
Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in managing P&L responsibility.
A calm, considerate approach under pressure and a dedication to quality.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
A personal passion for hosting, craftsmanship, and meaningful service.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving results.
