HEAD CHEF

Quinta Filippa is a 16-room hotel set on a 40-hectare estate in a small village in the Portuguese countryside. Honoring local heritage, it offers personalized stays that include farm-to-table dining and daily activities centered around well-being, nature, and culture. With intimate hospitality, it is a sanctuary designed to feel like home.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, design, and execute a complete menu from scratch, reflecting seasonal availability and healthy cuisine.

  • Prepare balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

  • Manage and lead a small team of kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations

  • Cook in an open kitchen environment, interacting and explaining dishes.

  • Serve meals to guests and provide explanations about the dishes, highlighting ingredients and preparation methods for full guest experience.

  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences, including plant-based, vegetarian,, gluten-free, and allergy-specific needs.

  • Manage kitchen inventory, sourcing, and procurement of ingredients.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

  • Provide cooking classes or demonstrations, if required.

  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the overall guest experience.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Proven experience as a Private Chef, preferably in high-end or health-focused environments.

  • Experience in creating and setting up a full menu with seasonal ingredients

  • Experience managing a kitchen team is essential.

  • Culinary training or degree in culinary arts is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of healthy cooking techniques and nutrition.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Passion for sustainability
